CM gymnasts Conklin, Hefferon see success at PA Classic

Central Mountain gymnasts competed in Saturday's PA Classic, the high school equivalent of states hosted by Huntingdon High School. The individual competition is split into four divisions, with Bronze being the lowest followed by Silver, Gold and Diamond.

In the Silver division, Central Mountain junior Harper Conklin placed second in the All Around with a score of 33.875. There were 59 total gymnasts in the Silver Division.

She also placed eighth on bars (8.175), ninth on beam (8.35), and third (8.65) on floor. The competition was tight with a razor thin margin between 12th place and 1st place in every event.

Central Mountain senior Devin Hefferon competed in the Gold Division, finishing with a high score of 8.825 at vault and an 8.625 at beam and just missing the podium at beam by .025. There were 43 gymnasts in the Gold division.
