Penns Valley girls win thriller vs. Juniata 45-42

Penns Valley secured a close 45-42 win against Juniata on the road in girls basketball on Tuesday in an exciting game.

Ellie Romig and Paige Johnson led the Rams with 14 points each while Sydnie Dalton scored six and Lilly Smith and Elle Dinges both chipped in five.

Juniata was led by Lindsey Gilson’s 15 points and Mylee Landis’ 10.

Penns Valley trailed by nine in the first quarter and cut the deficit to 22-21 heading into the break. The Rams were down by two points going into the fourth and out-scored Juniata in that crucial final quarter, 17-12, to secure the close win.

Penns Valley (10-11) played again on Wednesday night in its annual Hoops for Hope Pink Out game to raise money and bring the community together.
