Junior wrestler Hunter Baney left Sugar Valley’s final home meet against Mount Carmel victorious. Baney has been involved in wrestling since he was 10 years old, making this his sixth year competing. He is wrestling in the 127-pound weight class. His appreciation for a good work ethic shows in his performance on the mat, but Baney’s favorite part of wrestling is the opportunity to hang out with his friends.

A personal goal he has for himself as a wrestler is to surpass 85 wins, which is a school record. As of now, his future includes welding along wtih wrestling. The person Baney looks up to the most is his coach, Buzz. His high school and all-time records are 20-5 and 43-16, respectively.
