Bucktail cruises to 15-0 win against Millville in softball
Bucktail improved to 7-2 on the season after shutting out Millville, 15-0, as the Bucks have now won their last three games by a combined score of 47-0. In fact, it’s been since their second game of the season — a 5-4 win over Montgomery — that they have either not won or been beaten by the mercy rule.
The win has the Bucks at a perfect 5-0 in the Mid-Penn as Northwest is also a perfect 3-0 and have yet to been beaten with a 9-0 mark.
The Quakers had trouble on both offense and defense, allowing 10 walks from the mound while giving up seven hits in two innings, while only picking up one hit of their own.
It was another tandem performance from Bucktail as Mike Poorman had both Carrie Ditty and Kelcie Wagner see some action, with Ditty throwing two hitless innings and picking up the win.
Kendall Wagner was the game’s only two-hit performer, as she added a pair of runs and three RBIs.
Bucktail will host the 5-4 Sullivan County on Thursday.
