Central Mountain, Jersey Shore and Bald Eagle Area’s boys and girls track and field teams competed at the Lock Haven Bald Eagle Invitational at Lock Haven University on Friday and numerous athletes saw success throughout various events.

Central Mountain senior Damien Winner ran a 6:52.71 to take home second in the boys 2,000 steeplechase and trailed only Loyalsock’s Cashlin Rogers, who won in 6:44.04.

Central Mountain’s Macia Owens was also a second-place finisher. The sophomore Wildcat took second in the girls 100 with a time of 16.29, just 0.15 seconds behind Clearfield’s Haley Custaney who won in 16.14. Bald Eagle Area’s Leah Bryan took third with a time of 16.41 in the race.

Jersey Shore sophomore Aaralynn Kimble was fourth in the girls 400 in 1:00.33 and trailed only Katelyn Temple of Hughesville (first, 58.53), Clearfield’s Sophia Campolong (second, 59.09) and DuBois’ Eva Korney (third, 1:00.31). Kimble was also a sixth-place finisher in the girls 200 in 26.83. 

Kimble was the area’s lone athlete to claim two top-6 finishes on Friday at the invitational.

Bald Eagle Area had two runners finish in the top-3 in the girls 2,000 steeplechase. Caylyn Dixson, a sophomore, ran at time of 8:43.21 to take home second and junior Heidi Eveleth took third with a time of 8:47.95. Lewisburg’s Theo Wilkinson ran an 8:25.97 to win the event.

Jersey Shore freshman Elizabeth Hollick tied for fifth in the girls high jump with a height of 4-10.

Central Mountain’s Wyatt Heeman finished fifth in the boys 400 in 52.64. Williamsport’s Tevin Williams set the meet record in the event by running a 48.66 to win the event.

Bald Eagle Area’s Kyle Uberti had success in the pole vault by clearing 11 feet to take home a fourth-place finish. Warrior Run’s Ryan Kemock cleared 12-6 to win.

In the boys high jump, Jersey Shore had a pair of top-5 finishers. Khani McCray, a junior, equaled his personal best by clearing 5 feet, 10 inches and Breylan Guerrero cleared 5-10 as well to take fifth based on misses.

Bald Eagle Area’s boys 3,200 relay team claimed a fifth-place finish in 8:48.43. In the girls 400 relay, Central Mountain finished eighth in 52.87. Central Mountain’s boys 400 relay team took fifth in 45.60. Jersey Shore’s girls 1,600 relay team had a third-place finish in 4:07.22 as the team of Kathleen Loomis, Marlee Lehman, Kimble and Hollick were behind only Tyrone (4:06.41) and Warrior Run (4:06.69).

In the boys 1,600, Central Mountain took home fourth as the team of Shayden Hill, Brody Rhine, Ricky Rohrbach and Wyatt Heeman ran a time of 3:35.24. They were just more than a second ahead of Jersey Shore’s team of Kale Klinger, Connor Winters, Dekin McDermott and Kash Herritt (3:36.50).
