Central Mountain defeated Williamsport, 4-1, in boys tennis. Williamsport recognized its lone senior Wyatt Judge and Judge and his doubles partner at No. 1, Charles Plummer, had an exciting three-set match.

Ben Brinker and Gage Scanlan won over the Millionaire pair, 6-4, 6-7 (10-12), 6-4.

Joey McCluskey of Central Mountain beat Howard Chen at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-2. Williamsport’s Joseph Hillman beat Brayden Spedding, 6-2, 6-1

Jersey Shore edged Montoursville, 3-2, thanks to sweeping the singles competition. Ryder Fink earned a 6-0, 6-0 win over Teli Bobotas at No. 1 singles, Era Paulhamus beat Gio Catino 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles and at No. 3 singles, Saul Hensler defeated Colby Ulmer, 9-7, 6-1.

Montoursville’s Cole Snyder and Rain Snyder beat Abram Paulhamus and Luke Sarge at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 2-6, 6-4.

• In junior high track and field, Bellefonte’s girls team beat Tyrone, 77-57, and fell to Hollidaysburg, 101-39. On the boys side, Bellefonte lost to both Tyrone (85-56) and Hollidaysburg (97-39).

For the girls, Isabella Oravis had a big day in the field sweeping all three throwing events with big marks. Molly Tyson also won the high jump. Charlie Davidson (200) and Alissa Kyte-Yech (1,600 turned in second-place performances along with the 1,600 relay team.

On the boys side, many athletes tested the waters in new events. Still, Warren Donmoyer (100) and Max Holsinger (shot put) game through with victories for the boys. Alex Giornesto (800), Owen Behler (discus) and Easton Quinn (Javelin) picked up second-place finishes as well.

The meet concluded the regular season for Bellefonte’s junior high team. The team will compete at the Jeremy Herbstritt Memorial Invitational on May 2 and the Junior High Championships on May 9.
