Sugar Valley and Muncy got into a high-scoring affair which saw the Phoenix secure a 24-13 win in five innings. Both Sugar Valley and Muncy had an inning where they scored 10 or more runs.

Sugar Valley jumped out to an 11-1 lead after the first inning before Muncy scored 10 in the bottom of the third to cut the deficit to 18-12. However the Phoenix scored six more runs in the final two innings to prevent a Muncy rally.

Muncy out-hit Sugar Valley, 16-8, in the loss.

Sophie Maiorana had a triple for Muncy and both Evelyn Buss and Sadie Odell (2 for 3) had doubles. Lillian Wheeler (2 for 3), Emmalee Munsell (3 for 3, two RBIs), Avery Buss (2 for 3) and Rachel Paulhamus (2 for 4) all had multiple hits.

Najiah Staton went 2 for 4 with five RBIs while Abigail Immel scored a team-high six runs. The Phoenix were led by Kayleigh Showers 3 for 4 effort with five RBIs and two walks.

Dani Miller homered and drove in two runs, helping Jersey Shore clinch a Class AAAA playoff berth with a 5-4 win against Shikellamy.

Lexi Frey threw a seven-hitter and struck out eight as Jersey Shore (10-4) made it 25 playoff appearances in 26 seasons during the 2000s. Amelia Thomas had a strong game, going 3 for 4 and scoring a run.

Sophia Wrench went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs and Jersey Shore finished with 11 hits.
