WINGATE – On Monday, the Bald Eagle Area baseball and softball teams kick off postseason action for the area.

In baseball, the Eagles return to districts for the first since 2024, the year they went on to win a PIAA Class AAA title. They faced the Dragons earlier in the season, winning the matchup 8-6, indicating a particularly deep field given Central’s seeding.
A win on Monday would pit Bald Eagle against the winner of No. 3/6 Huntingdon and Tyrone, both which have given the Eagles tight games this season. The semifinal round is set for Friday.
In softball, Bald Eagle returns looking to extend its deep postseason streak to five. It faces a tremendous challenge right out the gate in doing so, with the Bearcats holding a 2-0 record over the Eagles this season, having outscored them by a combined score of 20-4.

A win on Monday would likely pit Bald Eagle against top-seeded Bedford barring an upset win from No. 8 Cambria Heights. The semifinal round is set for Thursday.
