Bellefonte suffered a tough 12-3 loss at home against Westmont Hilltop on Friday afternoon, a day after the Red Raiders earned a 5-1 win vs. Tyrone.

Bellefonte trailed just 1-0 after the first inning against the Hilltoppers, but an eight-run offensive outburst in the thrid inning propelled Westmont Hilltop to the win as Bellefonte was never able to rally.

Adrienne Mazullo threw the first threw innings for Bellefonte and struck out five. Herr threw the final four innings and struck out eight.

Masullo led the Red Raiders’ offense by going 2 for 4 with two doubles and a run scored. Aralynn Carson went 3 for 4 with a double while Abby Herr finished 2 for 3 as well.

In the game against Tyrone, Bellefonte jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first inning and held on from there. Tyrone would make it a 2-1 deficit in the fifth inning, but Bellefonte sealed it with a three-run bottom of the sixth.

Ella Herr went 1 for 4 with an RBI, Abby Herr was 1 for 4 with two RBIs and Masullo finished 1 for 4 with an RBI as the Red Raiders had just three hits in the victory.
