FARWELL — Just as they have done all three times that they were handed a loss this season, Bucktail has quickly got things rolling as they won their second game in a row Monday as they improved to 12-3 with the post-season now about two weeks away.
Coming off their 15-run senior night win over Muncy, the Bucks downed East Juniata on Monday, 11-1, in six innings, collecting the ten run-rule in the bottom of the sixth.
It was one of the more complete games of the season for Bucktail as for the first time all season, Rebekah Conway paced the offensive attack with three RBIs.
Conway started the scoring in the second when she lined a drive down the right field line for an RBI double. Conway stole third and eventually home putting the home team up 2-0 after 2 innings.
Eva Sockman’s RBI double in the third had the tea, up 4-0, as Sockman scored off another blistering ball from Conway, this time a sacrifice as the screamer was hit right to the centerfielder. Kendal and Kelsie Wagner as well as Conway each ended the game with a pair of hits.

KEVIN RAUCH/For The Express East Juniata's Marie Snyder makes it to second as Makenna Stone fields the throw for Bucktail.
As the Bucks chipped away, edging closer to the ten run-rule, Carrie Ditty was in complete control from the mound, particularly in the first three of four innings that she pitched.
Ditty’s curveball had a ton of movement, leaving Tigers’ batters swinging too early or when the ball was already in the catcher’s glove, as only C Wolse was able to get a hit off Ditty who notched seven strikeouts.
Kelise Wagner threw the final two innings, not allowing a hit and picking up five more strikeouts for the Bucks.
The loss dropped East Juniata to 1-9.
As for the Bucks, just four regular-season games remain, two at home including Wednesday’s tilt against West Branch (7-9).
