LOCK HAVEN — The Lock Haven softball team had five student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team.

In order to be eligible to earn CSC Academic All-District recognition, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and own a cumulative GPA above 3.50.

Position players must have competed in 90 percent of their institution’s total games or started in at least 66% of the institution’s total games. For pitchers, eligible nominees needed to have pitched at least 25 innings or appeared in 17 games.

Blaire Balestrini, Maci Brodzina, Madison Hardy, Olivia LaMeau and Keiva Middleton were honored for their excellence in the classroom and on the diamond.

The 2026 Academic All-District® teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
