Ryde Little League will represent Australia at LLWS

Ryde Little League of Sydney, New South Wales has been crowned as the 2026 Little League Australia Region Champion after securing a 9-3 championship win at the Australia Region Championship, becoming the third team to earn a spot in the 2026 Little League World Series.

Ryde Little League finished the region tournament with a 6-1 overall record to secure its ticket to Williamsport, marking the first-ever trip to the Series for the league, and 12th overall appearance for the country. A team from Sydney has represented Australia in six of the previous 11 appearances since the country began playing in the tournament back in 2013.

Ryde Little League won the Australia Region Tournament in 2021, but were not able to travel to South Williamsport as the event featured only teams from the U.S. due to the pandemic restrictions at the time.

Australia continues to have a strong Little League presence throughout their country and is part of a select group of regions that receive direct entry into all four baseball World Series tournaments that Little League International hosts, as it received its most recent automatic bid in 2018 for the Little League (50/70) Baseball Division World Series.

The official schedule and website information for the 2026 LLBWS have been announced, while first-round matchups will be shared later this week, as this year’s LLWS will take place from Aug. 19-30.

Starting at $3.69/week.
