Davis’s strong outing leads Bellefonte golf to 4-0 performance

On Tuesday afternoon, the Bellefonte boys golf team traveled to Bald Eagle's Skytop Mountain Golf Course to compete against the Eagles, Penns Valley, Philipsburg-Osceola and Clearfield. Bellefonte's Jacob Davis led all golfers on the day with a score of 77, finishing a medalist and leading the Red Raiders to a 4-0 day and first-place showing.

Apart from Davis, Henry St. Amant and Evan VonGunden also scored under a 90, logging an 87 and 89 respectively. Joseph Swentosky scored a 97, and Cooper Poorman rounded out the team's first-place showing with a 110, as Bellefonte scored a 350 overall.

For Bald Eagle, Chase Kellander led the way with an 87, and Henry Lindon joined him under 100 with a 95. Braylon Kraynak logged a 101, and Tanner Guenot (115) and Dawson Lomison (128) rounded out the team's scores.

Penns Valley saw two golfers take the course, with Mylan Seltz scoring a 93 and Mason Biddle scoring a 134.

Other standouts from the event included Philipsburg-Osceola's Elliot Mann and Jacob Clark, who scored an 86 and 88 respectively to lead the Mounties to a second-place showing. Both P-O and Clearfield had four golfers finish under 100.
