Bald Eagle Area hits the road for Week 7 with a matchup against Clearfield. The Eagles are coming off a 17-10 rivalry loss in overtime in the Curtin Bowl to Bellefonte and are in the midst of a three-game losing skid they hope to snap.
Senior Chase Cane has found success passing this year, going 42 for 78 through six weeks with 494 passing yards and four touchdowns. And on the ground, Bald Eagle Area has seen three runners go more than 125 rushing.
Senior Sam Clark has 90 carries for 456 yards and four touchdowns, Cane has rushed it 60 times for 417 yards and three touchdowns and sophomore Xavier Nagle has 30 carries for 130 and four scores. That three-headed running attack has helped Bald Eagle Area pick up first downs and accumulate points.
Clearfield isn't having as great of a season as it had hoped, going 2-4 through six weeks of competition.
The Bison beat Penns Valley last week in a close game, 21-19, to snap a three-game losing skid in which they gave up 40-plus points twice.
Against the Rams last week, Dylan Foust threw for 144 yards and two touchdowns, throwing just three incompletions as he went 14 for 17.
The Bison also ran for 137 yards, 81 of which came from senior Ryan Ludwig.
Foust has 628 passing yards this year and leads the team with 305 rushing yards while Ludwig has rushed it 77 times for 254 yards and five touchdowns.
