Central Mountain's quest for its first win of the year has to wait at least another week. The Wildcats battled against Shikellamy in Sunbury, but fell to the Braves, 35-22, in Week 6.
With 3:54 to play in the second quarter, Central Mountain cut the deficit to 14-6, but that would be the closest the Wildcats came to rallying. That's when Kyle Everett had a two-yard touchdown run to make it an eight-point deficit after Shikellamy scored 14 points in the first quarter.
The Braves' built that lead thanks to a Tristan Smith 3-yard touchdown run and an Xzavier Baker-Allen 56-yard touchdown pass from Bobby Felmy.
In the third quarter, Thomas Pollock extended Shikellamy's lead thanks to having 55- and 1-yard touchdown runs to put the Braves ahead, 28-6.
With 6:19 remaining in the third quarter, Gavin Heverly gave the Wildcats a bit of a spark when he returned a kickoff 89 yards for a touchdown with 6:19 to play to trail, 28-14.
Both teams exchanged scores in the fourth. Pollock caught a 35-yard pass from FElmy for a 35-14 lead. With 4:54 to play, Heverly had a 15-yard touchdown run to make it a 35-22 deficit after a successful two-point conversion.
The Wildcats were held to 170 yards of total offense while Shikellamy gained 385. Kyle Everett had 54 rushing yards for the Wildcats and Heverly ran for 47 on five carries. Everett threw for 69 yards.
The Braves were led by Thomas Pollock's 76 rushing yards and Tristan Smith's 71 while Kyler Campbell ran for 56 yards and Bobby Felmy had eight carries for 45.
