LOCK HAVEN -- Troy Miller of the Lock Haven football team was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West Defensive Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced.

Troy Miller delivered a game-changing performance in Lock Haven's thrilling 38-35 Homecoming victory over Clarion, helping the Bald Eagles improve to 3-2 overall and remain unbeaten in PSAC play at 2-0.

Miller finished with six tackles, one interception and three pass breakups, making his presence felt throughout the afternoon in the secondary.

His biggest play came late in the second quarter with Lock Haven trailing 21-7. Miller intercepted Clarion quarterback Jase Ferguson and returned the pick 18 yards, setting the Bald Eagles up in plus territory. Lock Haven capitalized immediately, scoring a touchdown on the ensuing possession to cut the deficit to 21-14 and ignite a comeback that ultimately ended in a walk-off victory.

In addition to the interception, Miller's three pass breakups helped disrupt a Clarion passing attack that attempted 43 passes on the afternoon. His combination of production and timely playmaking played a major role in helping Lock Haven secure its first 2-0 start in conference play since 1981.
