What has been a demanding schedule shows no let up tonight as Central Mountain faces the surging Braves who are coming off big wins against Williamsport and Jersey Shore. The Wildcats are trying to break out offensively after being shutout the past two weeks.
Linebacker Kole Corman is having another super season, leading the area in tackles for a second straight year and averaging 15 per game. He is both the program's all-time and single-season tackle record holder. Jacob Rembold averages eight tackles per game and returned an interception for a score at Warrior Run.
Cade Watkins has sacks in two of the last three games and Gavin Heverly and Alex Johnson have both ripped off some long punt and kick returns with Johnson taking one for a touchdown at Warrior Run.
Shikellamy (4-1) has rallied for wins three times this season after trailing either late in the third quarter or fourth quarter. It mounted a last-minute drive at Williamsport and scored the final 30 points in last week's 56-27 victory against Jersey Shore. The Braves intercepted four passes in that game and Maddox Hoover and Xavier Baker-Allen sealed victory with fourth quarter pick sixes.
Thomas Pollock has become one of the most prolific wide receivers in District 4 history and has eclipsed both 200 career catches and 3,000 yards. He was virtually unstoppable against Jersey Shore, catching 12 passes for 225 yards and four touchdowns, while adding 42 yards on two carries. Sophomore quarterback Bob Felmy is having a big season starting for the first time and threw for 291 yards and five touchdowns last week.
