KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Penn State men’s basketball team has received a 2025-26 National Association of Basketball Coaches Team Academic Excellence Award, as announced by the NABC. The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize programs that completed the 2025-26 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher, with all men’s basketball players listed on the varsity roster during the season included in the team GPA calculation. At Port Royal on Saturday night, Doug Hammaker had been waiting for his first win at The Speed Palace and now followed it up with his second win. Nash Ely and Devin Adams composed the front row of the 25-lap A-main event with Ely taking the early advantage after multiple attempts at the initial start.
