BETHLEHEM — Jersey Shore’s Louden Spotts had never advanced out of the regional tournament before. Granted, he’s only wrestled once prior to this season, but as a sophomore, he got back to the Northeast Class AAA Regional tournament with hopes of advancing to his first state tournament. BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Penn State women’s basketball falls to Indiana 93-59 inside Assembly Hall in regular season finale on Saturday afternoon. The Nittany Lions drop to 11-18, 4-14 Big Ten while the Hoosiers improve to 17-13, 6-12 Big Ten. Redshirt junior guard Gracie Merkle led Penn State with her ninth double-double of the season. STATE COLLEGE — Stellar late-game execution and a career-high 25 points from senior Josh Reed led the Penn State men’s basketball team to a 71-69 win over Iowa Saturday afternoon inside the Bryce Jordan Center. 
The Penn State defense clamped down in the game’s final minutes, as the Hawkeyes scored just two points in the final 4:29 of play. ALTOONA - Of the 14 combined regional qualifiers representing Bald Eagle and Penns Valley, all 14 kept their regional runs alive through Day One of the Southwest Class AA regional on Friday. CANONSBURG - On Friday evening, the West Class AAA Regional officially kicked off at Canon-McMillan High School. Central and Bellefonte were in attendance, each having eight wrestlers striving to keep their championship bracket runs alive. Of those 16 wrestlers, three made it to championship semifinals.
