Everyone was moving and grooving at The Roxy Thursday night as popular Motown band York Street Hustle burst with classic, upbeat and foot tapping good music as part of the LH JAMS Music and Arts Festival. Before York Street hit the stage, local musician Chris Mingear opened the show with some smooth, root music. Soon after, York Street took the stage to perform a wide range of music that kept many on their feet. LH JAMS continues Friday night with a block party on Main Street, featuring popular, local favorite Velveeta bringing covers of classic 80s and 90s music. All this leads up to Saturday’s festival that will see the streets filled with art vendors, good food and – of course – lots of music from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. on two stages.
