Neighborhood kids use Columbus Circle fountain on Chicago's West Side as a playground and "swimming pool," July 7, 1967. The previous summer, a riot broke out in the area over the shutting off of a fire hydrant spray for kids. Riots were a nightly occurrence until National Guardsmen were called.
