The scene was reminiscent of many from the 1964 presidential campaign as Barry Goldwater arrived in Miami Beach to attend the Republican National Convention, Aug. 5, 1968. He moved along a crowd at Miami International Airport shaking hands and greeting people just as he did when he was an unsuccessful candidate for president on the Republican ticket.
