Piper Museum Happenings

The Piper Aviation Museum has received a donation of $10,000 from Stephen Moddle of Daytona Beach, Florida. The donation, received in the spring, will be used to repair the damaged parking lot at the museum, though other donations are sought. Moddle, a long-time supporter of the Piper Museum, donated his Piper J-3 Cub in 2004. The Cub, N2038M, is on display in the hangar of the museum, with other planes. In 2014, the J-3 Cub was designated the state airplane of Pennsylvania. Events are coming up to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the museum’s opening. A Piper employee reunion will be held on Sept. 23., and the annual Jeep Cruise will be Oct. 7. To volunteer or make a donation, please contact the museum at 570-748-8283.
