adds orthopedic surgeon
LOCK HAVEN -- Orthopedic surgeon Zeferino Martinez, M.D. has jointed the Lock Haven Hosital medical staff and the re-launch of the Haven Orthopedics practice.
Dr. Martinez is board certified in Orthopedic Surgery by the American College of Orthopedic Surgeons. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of San Luis Potisi, Mexico, and served his internship at St. Vincent's Medical Center in New York in general surgery. Dr. Martinez completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Memorial University of Newfoundland, St. Johns, Canada, and a Spine Surgery Fellowship at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston, Texas. He joins Lock Haven Hospital from Berwick Hospital Center. Dr. Martinez's background also includes stints in solo practice and with Geisinger at Bloomsburg Hospital.
Dr. Martinez treats a full spectrum of orthopedic injuries including; hip, knee and shoulder replacements, spine surgery, carpal tunnel release, sports medicine and more. He is dedicated to providing life-changing care and brings more than 20 years of experience to Haven Orthopedics.
Cardiologist
joins LH Hospital staff
LOCK HAVEN -- Lock Haven Hospital has announced the addition of cardiologist Paul Suri, M.D., to the employed medical staff and launched the Haven Cardiology practice.
Dr. Suri is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Texas and served his residency at Georgetown University Medical Center. Dr. Suri completed fellowships in cardiovascular disease at the University of Colorado Health Science Center and in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center.
Dr. Suri focuses on preventive cardiology including: nutrition/lifestyle management- through diet, exercise and medication as needed; AFib or other abnormal heart rhythm issues; post cardiac surgery care; Post heart attack care, and implanting of pacemakers.
