LOCK HAVEN – Spring is just around the corner and it’s time to start thinking about cleaning up outside.
It’s also time to think about cleaning up Highland Cemetery.
The annual Park Day is Saturday, March 28, and everyone is invited to come out and help cleanup the cemetery.
Participants will gather at the entrance to the cemetery at 9 a.m. The cleanup will continue until 5 p.m.
Those helping should dress for the weather, and bring gloves, spades and leaf rakes if desired.
The work will include general spring cleanup throughout the park, tombstone repair and leaf cleanup. Food and drink will be provided.
Anyone wishing to participate is encouragaed to join local community members, members of the LHU community, and descendants of those interred at Highland make the historic cemetery look nice after a hard winter. Parking is limited
