A lot of sales circulars coming Thanksgiving Day

Happy early Thanksgiving!

The Express community newspaper is working hard to bring you your special Thanksgiving Day edition this coming Thursday, Nov. 22, full of advertisements from local businesses offering products and services, along with holiday shopping inserts from local, regional and national retailers.

The had work has paid off: This year, The Express has MORE holiday sales inserts for you than last year!

And again this year, the Thanksgiving Holiday edition newspaper will be sold curbside in front of The Express at 9 W. Main St. in downtown Lock Haven so you can get a head start on your shopping.

Newspapers will be sold from out front of our building from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Look for advertising from many local businesses who ask that you “Shop Local” as much as you can for the holiday season.

Sales inserts inside most of our newspapers – our home delivery subscribers get precedent – will include Sears, Tractor Supply, Lowe’s, Kohl’s, CVS, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Best Buy, Walmart, AC Moore, Dell, Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, Dollar General and Weis Markets.

Oh, and our Thanksgiving Eve Edition on Wednesday, Nov. 21, will included limited quantity inserts from Save A Lot, Beiter’s Home Center and Tractor Supply.

See what expanded or earlier store hours local retailers will have for Thanksgiving, Black Friday and beyond.

Besides Thursday’s paper filled with holiday sales inserts and special greetings, you’ll want to sit back and read this edition to catch up on local news, information and sports previews.

And don’t forget Small Business Saturday on Nov. 24. The Express will have limited quantity inserts from CVS, AC Moore, Best Buy, Dell, Dollar General and P&G Brandsaver.

For those who don’t have The Express community newspaper delivered to the privacy and comfort of their home or place of business, keep in mind the retail price in stores and in vending machines will be $1 for the Thanksgiving Day edition.

Meanwhile, The Express office at 9 W. Main St. in downtown Lock Haven will close at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 21, and remain closed for the Thanksgiving Day holiday on Thursday, reopening at 8 a.m. Friday. News staff will be available to funeral directors for obituaries on Thanksgiving Day, but only until 6 p.m. by phone at 570-748-6791 (Ext. 139).
