LOCKPORT — The Woodward Township supervisors are accepting applicants to be part of a lottery pool for one available river lot along the Susquehanna River.

Lot 45 is located on the far end of Riverview Park and is considered a “cliff lot,” Supervisor Chairman Kyle Coleman said at Tuesday night’s meeting.

Those interested in being included in the lottery pool must come to the township office and fill out an application.

The township will accept applications until Tuesday, May 21 at 5 p.m.

The lottery will take place that evening at the supervisors regular meeting, Coleman said.

Six names will be pulled compared to the usual three, due to there only being one lot available this year.

Township secretary Jackie Bartlett will contact the first name pulled and the candidate will have a few days to respond. If they don’t respond or decline the lot she’ll move on to the next name.

Interested individuals are encouraged to look at the lot before applying to ensure they would want it, Coleman said.

Anyone with questions should contact the township office at 570-748-6871.
