LOCK HAVEN --The Lock Haven Area YMCA will merge with the River Valley Regional YMCA to become the Lock Haven Branch YMCA this summer.

Effective July 1, the two associations will become one and continue to work together to share and maximize resources while strengthening our community.

The River Valley Regional YMCA which is made up of five branch locations throughout Tioga County, Bradford County and Lycoming County has provided leadership to the Lock Haven YMCA for the past two years.

Corinne Amrom has been named the district executive director of the Lock Haven and Jersey Shore Branch YMCA's. A Lycoming College Graduate, Amrom has worked for the River Valley Regional YMCA for more than six years serving as the childcare director, associate executive director, and most recently, executive director of the Jersey Shore Branch.

"She previously assisted with the management agreement of the Lock Haven Area YMCA and is familiar with the greater Lock Haven area," explained River Valley Regional YMCA CEO, Chad Eberhart. "Her strong leadership and administrative skills will ensure the success of both branches moving forward."

The YMCA is also excited to announce that Beth Bartlett has been promoted to associate executive director of the Lock Haven Branch YMCA. A YMCA employee for almost 20 years, Bartlett has served as the childcare director and then the membership director.

"I look forward to a close collaboration between the Jersey Shore and Lock Haven Branch YMCA's," said Amrom. "The addition of the Lock Haven YMCA to the association not only strengthens the branch and association as a whole, but also our ability to impact our community."

The Lock Haven Area YMCA is dedicated to serving our community and gives back every day through the services and programs they provide. Currently, the Lock Haven Y distributes more than 200 backpacks each week to local elementary schools to feed children through their backpack program.

Other programs include gymnastics, swimming, LIVESTRONG at the YMCA, and more. For more information please contact your local branch in Jersey Shore, Lock Haven, Mansfield, Towanda, Muncy or Williamsport.
