Jersey Shore High School alumni and current freshman standout swimmer at Marist College, Emma Butzler, had her first sweet meet for Marist on October 12. Against Canisius, she had two individual wins in the 200 and 100 yard butterfly, and a second in the 100 yard free. She was also apart of the 200 medley relay swimming the butterfly.

On Thursday visiting Fordham University in Bronx, New York City, Butzler placed in both the 200 fly (4th overall) and 50 freestyle (5th overall) events. She was the top Marist swimmer in both. Butzler also swam the 100 fly in the 400 yard medley relay where they placed 2nd.

Butzler’s next appearance will be when Marist returns home next Saturday to host Rider. Meet time is scheduled for 5:00 PM.
