Santa and Mrs. Claus are pictured at the Wingate Faith Church just before the tree lighting ceremony earlier this month. Santa has been busy checking his naughty and nice lists and making sure the reindeer are practicing their take-offs and landings. Mrs. Claus has been busy making cookies for the elves. Santa and Mrs. Claus, aka Butch and Thelma Gilbert, enjoy bringing joy to children at Christmastime and sharing the message of Christ’s birth. This Santa and Mrs. Claus have been married 50 years. When not at the North Pole, they reside in the Marsh Creek area.
