Local ALA units hosted by Nittany American Legion Auxiliary

Department of Pennsylvania’s American Legion Auxiliary’s Centre, Lycoming and Clinton Counties Council was hosted by Nittany American Legion Auxiliary Unit #245. ALA members from all three counties were in attendance and reported 37,160 Volunteer service hours. These members are part of the largest Veterans Service Organization (VSO) in the world. Their mission being in the spirit of “Service, Not Self” the mission of the ALA to support the American Legion and to honor the sacrifice of those who serve and have served, by enhancing the lives of our veterans, military and their families, both at home and abroad. They advocate for veterans, educate our citizens, mentor youth and promote patriotism, good citizenship, peace and security. They are part of the Department of Pennsylvania’s American Legion Auxiliary, which is the largest American Legion Auxiliary in the world. The next ALA’s Centre, Lycoming and Clinton Council meeting will be hosted by Bitner-Bechdel American Legion Auxiliary Unit #623 of Beech Creek on June 10.
