Local students receive awards at university’s annual banquet

LOCK HAVEN — The Commonwealth University-Lock Haven athletic training program hosted its annual awards banquet, recognizing the 2023 graduating class and honoring student achievements. The banquet was held in the Durrwachter Alumni Center in May. Lock Haven athletic training alumna, Miranda Fisher ‘10, was this year’s guest speaker. Fisher is the assistant director of sports medicine at Shippensburg University. SNHU Mill Hall native John Brungard was featured on Southern New Hampshire University’s Winter 2023 President’s List. The winter term runs from January to May. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above for the reporting term are named to the President's List. ANNVILLE — Collin Jones, of Mill Hall, is being recognized by Lebanon Valley College as part of the successful staff of the student newspaper, La Vie Collegienne. La Vie received an honorable mention award for its website at the 2023 Student Keystone Media Awards.
