LOCK HAVEN — The Edythe Hoy Bossert Gallery at the Ross Library is proud to present a Photography Exhibition by local artist Evan Orner, on display throughout October.
The exhibit highlights Orner’s passion for photography and his commitment to supporting those who have served.
An Open House will be held on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., where visitors can meet the artist and purchase framed photographs and prints.
All proceeds from the show will benefit 22Mohawks, a Veterans Charitable Organization dedicated to helping veterans and first responders find purpose and support. 22Mohawks focuses on suicide prevention and community connection through outreach events and three core programs: Pups for Vets & First Responders, the Airborne Operations Course and Retreat and their Suicide Prevention Team. For more information and ways to donate, please scan the QR code at the gallery or visit www.22Mohawks.com.
Evan’s journey as an artist is rooted in both craftsmanship and compassion.

While attending Pennsylvania College of Technology in pursuit of a machinist degree, he began creating wooden coasters and coins. After graduating, he entered the woodworking field professionally and developed photography as a creative outlet.
Over the years, Evan has used his craft to support veterans organizations, donating photographs, coasters, and cutting boards for raffles and fundraisers.
His dedication to veterans began with his 2022 senior project, a memorial honoring his close friend, Master Sergeant Barry Hill, a Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom veteran who passed away from cancer in 2019.
The memorial is located at the VFW Veterans Benefit office window on East Main Street in Lock Haven.
Photography definitely seems to give Evan the chance to create something lasting while giving back to those who’ve given so much. This exhibition is a way to honor his friend and support 22Mohawks’ mission to help veterans and first responders find hope and healing.
