Old photo album UPDATE: Aerial view of Lock Haven

Aerial view of Lock Haven

This aerial view of Lock Haven shows just how much has changed over the years. In the upper left corner you can see the former Jay Street bridge which was removed in the 1970s and replaced with the current one. Another, very notable, item missing is the Route 220 exit onto Jay Street. Route 220 was constructed in 1926 and was previously what we now know as Route 150. We are unsure of when the current Route 220 was built or when the Lock Haven bypass was constructed. The long building in the bottom right corner next to open fields was a former brick yard. A block up is the former A&P Supermarket which is currently Macintyre Cheverolet is. At left center is St. Agnes Church which still stands along at 3 E. Walnut St. Many of the homes seen in the middle of the photo were removed after the Agnes flood in 1972 caused major damage.
