LOCK HAVEN — The Colonel Hugh White — Colonel John Chatham NSDAR recently held a picnic on June 17 at the Rebarchak’s river lot. Those in attendance were members Bebe Fultz, Jane Myers, Mary Vairo, Diane Whitaker, Mary Margaret Winton; guests were Barbara Barger and Roz Rebarchak (hostess). Whitaker led a solemn memorial service for two deceased members, Bea Mellinger and Louise Johnson.

The evening continued with the Installation of Officers who will assume, or continue, their duties in September. Diane Whitaker presided over the installation.

Officers include, Regent-Mary Vairo; Secretary-Mary Margaret Winton; Treasurer-Joy Ketchum; Chaplain-Jane Myers; Registrar-Diane Whitaker.

The evening continued with a delicious buffet of food contributed by members. A special treat was a cake decorated in honor and thanks to Whitaker for her many contributions to NSDAR.

The fun continued with Boston Tea Party Bingo. Whitaker called out items from a list of things that would have been in use during the time of the Boston Tea Party. (The list had been sent previously to members so that they knew what to bring along for Bingo.)

Those who had that item showed it, and once a member had 10 items called out by Whitaker, the winner was declared.

Starting at $3.69/week.
