Civil War Roundtable

A Civil War Roundtable will be held on Monday, Sept. 15, from 5-7 p.m., at Avenue 209 Coffee House. Everyone is welcome to attend. For more info., call Mike at 508-823-1585.

Packing Party

Join The Rotary Club of Downtown Lock Haven for a packing party at Boxes of Hope, 10 E. Main St., Lock Haven, on Sept. 16 at 5:15 p.m. By helping to pack care packages that are sent to women who are battling breast cancer, you would be making a difference in someone’s life. This is also a great opportunity to talk to members of The Rotary Club of Downtown Lock Haven and learn about other ways that they serve the needs of the community. Light refreshments will be provided.

Blood Drives

The American Red Cross urges people to donate blood now. All blood donors are needed, especially those with type O blood. Several blood drives will be happening during the next few weeks that donors can attend. Visit the Red Cross website or call 1-800-RED CROSS to arrange an appointment. Walk-ins are also welcomed!

Blood drives will be held on the following dates:

On Sept. 17, from 12-5:30 p.m., at the American Philatelic Society, Match Factory, Bellefonte.

On Sept. 22, from 12:30-6 p.m., at the Milesburg Community Center
