Wednesday, Sept. 3

— Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church’s Prayer Shawl Ministry meeting beginning at noon. More needleworkers, those who crochet or knit, are invited to join the PSM group. Come see the many beautiful items the needleworkers have made. A light lunch is provided for all who attend!

— Marion Township Supervisors will hold a public hearing at 5:30 p.m. at the Marion Township Building where the Supervisors will hear testimony and consider the change of zoning for a proposed 17 parcels along Walt Road near the I-80 Jacksonville Road exit for highway commercial use — a change that would impact more than 10 households and over 270 acres of farmland, residential properties and Amish homesteads. Residents are encouraged to attend this meeting to voice their concerns

Thursday, Sept. 4

— Madisonburg town-wide yard sales

— Senior Cheer Club meets at noon at Friendship Community Center in Beech Creek. Bring a covered dish to share, your own drink and a small wrapped item(s) for the Bingo games. Anyone 55 and older is invited to come.

— Light of the World FREE clothing bank, noon to 8 p.m., at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 145 W. Linn St., Bellefonte.

— Red Cross Blood Drive at Centre Church in Pleasant Gap, 12:30-6 p.m.

— Milesburg Lions Club Bingo at the community center, 6:45 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m.

Friday, Sept. 5

— Madisonburg town-wide yard sales

— Food distribution from 4-6 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 216 McAllister St., Bellefonte.

— Stop by “The Express-o Cafe” for free hot coffee and popcorn between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. The Express office is located at 9-11 W. Main St., Lock Haven.

— Light of the World FREE clothing bank, noon to 5 p.m., at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 145 W. Linn St., Bellefonte.

— Bingo at Mill Hall Fire Hall every Friday night at 6:30 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

— Old School Market open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. each Friday, East End Road, Mill Hall. Also a misc. merchandise sale at 4 p.m. and a hay/small animals sale starting at 6 p.m.

— Lemont Village Association’s summer concert on the Village Green, 7-8:30 p.m., featuring Angie Lavanish. Get an ice cream cone by giving a donation to benefit Scout Troop 367.
