LOCK HAVEN — On Sept. 22 from 5 to 7 p.m., the Clinton County Historical Society will have a reception to open an art exhibit by local artist Xiao-Hua Zhou at the Poorman Gallery, 352 E. Water St., Lock Haven.
The artist is displaying two series of her work, the Lock Haven series “Yesterday Once More” and “Gardens and Flowers-Today and Everyday.” The exhibit will be open for several months through 2025 and into 2026. When you come to view this art showing you will be able to sign up to win a painting of the Farrandsville Furnace, a historic structure which is on the register of historic places.
Xiao-Hua Zhou has lived in Clinton County for five years and has used her art as a visual diary of her new life and experiences in our community. The Historical Society is pleased to present this artist’s work and encourages visits to the Poorman Gallery to view her story. As part of the event, Hua will be offering a Chinese Tea Ceremony several times during the evening.
