McELHATTAN — Wayne Township is gearing up for a fun-filled day this Saturday, Oct. 25. Events begin at 4 p.m., so mark your calendars for some returning favorites along with new additions that we hope you will enjoy.
On Saturday, after visiting the Nature Park and its trunk or treat and other fun-filled holiday activities, there will be another fall event held in the Restless Oaks parking lot.
The Wayne Township Recreation Committee will be offering hayrides from 4 until 7 p.m.
This is a scenic ride on Reservoir Road towards the McElhattan Reservoir. The ride takes 30 minutes, longer with loading and unloading. Please dress for the colder weather. While you wait, sit, relax and stay warm in the pavilion where a variety of refreshments will be offered.
All riders must go to the pavilion and groups will be taken to the loading area.
Parking will be in the paved lots near and around the restaurant. Traffic control will be assisting. The cost to ride is a donation.
The recreation committee is grateful to those who have sponsored their events this weekend, including The Wayne Township supervisors, the recreation committee, Chatham Run Feed Mill, Dunkin Donuts, Lowes and Weis Markets. Additionally, thank you to Keith Steckenfinger, Jason Smith, Terry Condo and James Maguire for your assistance.
OCT. 31
