SPCA Fall Pet Extravaganza

The Clinton County SPCA is hosting a Fall Pet Extravaganza on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Riverview Park. Come out and enjoy their basket raffle, pet blessings, craft vendors and food trucks. Entertainment will be provided by Clyde Peeling’s Reptileland and the Clark McLane Band.

Chili Cook-Off

The Black Forest Inn presents Chili Cook-Off 2025 on Saturday, Oct. 4. Cooking begins at 9:30 a.m. with judging at 3 p.m. Live music by Kidz@Heart will be from 1-4 p.m. Cookers and vendors are still being accepted.

Heritage Day Celebration

Gallagher Township will have their Heritage Day Celebration on Sunday, Oct. 5, from 1-5 p.m., at the Springer-Caldwell Historic One Room School, 11837 Coudersport Pike, Lock Haven.

Some highlights of the day include Historic Presentations and Storytime Chats, Stories of Life from Resident Warren Gottshall; a Genealogy discussion by Mary Copenhaver Hunter on the legacy of Gallagher Township’s Founding Father, John Focht (1773-1861), a German immigrant who served under Napoleon and settled in Gallagher Township. “Out Caldwell Way” readings and discussion by Loretta Coltrane, highlighting the life and incredible legacy of celebrated newspaper columnist and township resident Clara Lucinda Crider Fritz.

SVRCS Senior Socials

SVRCS’s Senior Socials will return for the 2025-2026 school year on Oct. 10. All seniors are welcome to join the second Friday of each month from October through April — exception for February. The program runs from 12:30- 2 p.m. in the gym lobby at 236 E. Main St., Loganton, where the life skills students will greet you and be your hosts! Activities, games, snacks and entertainment will be provided for your enjoyment! Come out and enjoy this special time to fellowship and interact with students. No reservation required. Haunted Tours

Discover new hauntings and cryptids this Halloween with the Lock Haven Paranormal Seekers. Tours will last about one hour and start at Triangle Park with tickets being $5 per person. Car Show

Shine your wheels and show them off! Come out on Sunday, Oct. 12, to The Black Forest Inn’s Autumn Car Show. In conjunction with the Central Pennsylvania Street Machines Car Club, the show runs from 1-4 p.m. All vehicles are welcome. Entry is free and there will be raffles and a 50/50 drawing. Enjoy delicious food, drink and music. If it has wheels, shine ’em up and show ’em off!
