TODAY

— Blood Drive, 12:30-6 p.m., at Centre Church in Pleasant Gap.

— Food distribution, 4-6 p.m., at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 216 McAllister St., Bellefonte. No income guidelines, but some questions are asked of first time food recipients.

— Milesburg Lions Club Bingo at the community center, 6:45 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m.

— Commonwealth University-Lock Haven will welcome technology executive and 1994 Lock Haven graduate Glen Allison to campus for a special presentation, “Raising the Bar: Glen Allison ’94 on Resilience, Purpose and Professional Success,” from 7:30 to 9 p.m., in Price Auditorium. The event is sponsored by CU-Lock Haven Athletics and co-sponsored by CU-Lock Haven’s Office of Alumni and Professional Engagement. The program is open to students, faculty, staff and members of the local community. Allison will discuss themes of resilience, purpose and professional growth — reflecting on how his college experiences, athletic discipline and personal determination shaped his professional journey. Students will gain insight into topics such as overcoming adversity, professional development, time management and translating college experiences into real-world success.

TOMORROW

— St. John’s United Church of Christ Light of the World Clothing Bank will be open from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Come select hats, gloves, winter coats, jackets, scarves and more! Everything is free, or you can make a donation to the church if you’d like! The church is located at 145 W. Linn St., Bellefonte.

— Centre Hall Fire Company’s First Friday of the month Bingo at the fire station. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.; early bird games start at 6:30 p.m. and regular Bingo kicks off at 7 p.m.

SATURDAY

— St. John’s United Church of Christ Light of the World Clothing Bank will be open from 9 a.m. to noon. Come select hats, gloves, winter coats, jackets, scarves and more! Everything is free! The church is located at 145 W. Linn St., Bellefonte.

— Howard Fire Company’s annual gun raffle at the fire station, noon to 5 p.m. Bingo ball game prize is a gun safe with three mystery guns inside.

— Holy Spirit Parish will hold its annual Holly Mart Christmas Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lock Haven Catholic School’s gymnasium, 311 W. Water St., Lock Haven. The bazaar will include a silent auction, baked goods, new-to-you items, great food, theme baskets, a cash drawing and crafts for kids. Lunch will also be available.

— Lock Haven Area Shoe Bank, inside Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven, open 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., for a “Just Boots Day” for families who have been to the Shoe Bank recently and aren’t yet eligible to return for shoes. All other families will be served Saturday, Nov. 15, when they can choose both boots and shoes. Kids and youth up to age 18, or in high school, are eligible if they have Compass and live in Clinton County or the Liberty-Curtin School area. Appointments are required! For your appointment, contact Diahann at 814-571-5324 any weeknight from 7-9 p.m.

— KBR Bingo is hosting an Adult Bingo at 1 p.m. Tickets are sold out.

— Santa Jump Jamboree in Beech Creek

— LHHS and ICHS Classes of 1957 meet on the second Saturday for each month at Restless Oaks at 9 a.m. Classmates and guests are welcome.

— Sugar Valley Fire Company’s Turkey Dinner, 4-7 p.m., at the fire station. Meal includes turkey and all the trimmings. Cost is $16 for adults; $10 for ages 6-12; and free for those five and younger. Take-out or dine-in meals are available.

SUNDAY

— Howard VFW Breakfast Buffet, All you can eat from 10 a.m. to noon. $12 for adults.

— Centre Ballroom Dancing at Lambert Hall in Bellefonte, 2-5 p.m. $10 admission and bring a snack to share.

— Union Cemetery in Bellefonte will hold its second annual Veterans Day service at 3 p.m. The ceremony will take place by the fountain off High Street, with trumpet players performing Taps throughout the cemetery.

“Light Up the Cemetery” will immediately follow the service. If you are interested in sponsoring a luminary bag, please contact Reichert at 814-470-3866. The Luminaries will be set up prior to the service. They will be visible by about 5 p.m. Bellefonte Cemetery Association asks for no car traffic between 5-6 p.m. for pedestrian use of the roads. Car traffic is welcome from 6-7 p.m. If you would like to volunteer to help with this event reach out at bellefonteunioncemetery.com/volunteer.

— KBR Bingo is hosting a benefit Bingo for three non-profits: Boxes of Hope, Roads to Peace and Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Tickets are $25. Doors open at 11 a.m. and Bingo starts at 1 p.m. Call Deb at 570-660-2647 for info. KBR Bingo is on the third floor of the Piper Museum Building in Lock Haven.

MONDAY

— BEN Class of 1961 will be having a class luncheon at Haywood’s. All classmates and guests are invited.

— The Old Corner will be Giving Back to the Haven by Feeding the Hungry from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This outreach will help anyone in need! Food will be available for the less fortunate, Veterans and anyone who wants to come out to the event! Chicken BBQ will be served.

— Wingate Faith Church pot pie sale, pick up at 4 p.m. Pre-orders are best, call 814-883-0893, and walk-in sales are welcomed starting at 4 p.m. until sold out. Ham or chicken pot pie $9/quart comes in freezable containers. This is the last pot pie sale this fall, so stock up!

— First Aid class to become certified or recertified, taught by Kim and Ray Bohartz, at SVRCS in Loganton. This life saving class is taught by instructors Kim and Ray Bohartz. First Aid class will be offered from 6-10 p.m. at the SVRCS in Loganton. Cost is $40. Registration is necessary. Contact 570-367-1351 or djeffries@svrcs.org to sign up.
