JERSEY SHORE — Abigail Chatham Simcox, daughter of Sean and Neva Simcox, of Jersey Shore, has been named the October 2025 Lions Club Student of the Month at Jersey Shore Area High School.

Abigail is a dedicated student and active member of the school community, participating in a wide range of clubs and activities throughout her high school career. She has been involved in cheerleading all four years and is also a committed member of the Bocce team and the Better Together Club, where she has served as vice president for the past three years. In addition, Abigail contributes her time and leadership to the Dawg Pound Coffee Shop and is part of the EXPLORE program, further enriching her educational experience.

Outside of school, Abigail is heavily involved in 4-H, where she has participated as an equestrian and served as treasurer for two years. She also volunteers at the Penn College Preschool during the summers, supporting early childhood programs and gaining valuable experience working with young children.

Abigail has been recognized for her academic achievements through her induction into the National Honor Society. She has earned a varsity letter in Bocce for two years and was selected to represent Jersey Shore at the Special Olympics Leadership Conference for two consecutive years — an honor that highlights her compassion, strong character and leadership skills.

In her free time, Abigail enjoys running, horseback riding and going out to eat with family and friends.

After graduation, Abigail plans to continue her training and pursue a career in the food service industry. Her dedication, leadership, and community-minded spirit make her a deserving recipient of this month’s Lions Club honor.

Starting at $3.69/week.
