Military Share distribution moved

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Clinton County Veterans Affair Military Share distribution scheduled for Jan. 15 has to be moved to the Piper Museum. If you are a recipient of the food from this program please call the Clinton County VA office at 570-893-4339 for more details. “The food will no longer be distributed from the Castanea Fire Company Picnic Grounds going forward as we need to relocate,” a release from the VA’s office said.

Cash Bingo

Jersey Shore American Legion Unit 36 Auxiliary is hosting a cash Bingo on Sunday, Jan. 25, at 320 Seminary St., Jersey Shore. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door. Only 100 tickets are available, so get yours now! Doors will open at 11 a.m., Bingo will start at 1 p.m. There will be refreshments available to purchase. No outside food or drinks allowed.

Cookbook Sale

Laurel Run Church, 2899 Laurel Run Road, Beech Creek, has created a beautiful family cookbook with many shared and loved recipes. St. Paul Food Pantry

St. Paul Food Pantry, 6220 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall, (1 mile north of the I-80 interchange on Route 64), is open the second and fourth Wednesday of every month from 9 to 11 a.m. No documentation is required. You may call the church at 570-748-7932 or 570-726-7460. People may call these numbers at any time for any type of assistance they may need.

Cash Bingo Events

Dunnstown Fire Company offers a Cash Bingo every Monday night at the fire station on 119 Woodward Ave., Lock Haven. Bingo starts at 6 p.m. and all proceeds help to support the fire company’s needs. Bingo will be next held on Jan. 12 and 19.

KBR Bingo and More holds Bingo every Tuesday night at the Piper Airport Museum’s 3rd floor, Lock Haven. Early Bird game at 6:15 p.m., and regular Bingo at 6:30 p.m.

SVRCS Senior Socials

SVRCS’s Senior Socials have returned for the 2025-2026 school year. All seniors are welcome to join the second Friday of each month from January through April — exception for February. The program runs from 12:30-2 p.m. in the gym lobby at 236 E. Main St., Loganton, where the life skills students will greet you and be your hosts! Activities, games, snacks and entertainment will be provided for your enjoyment! Come out and enjoy this special time to fellowship and interact with students. No reservation required.
