— Trinity UM Church, 1407 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, is having a fresh, homemade donut sale. Donuts are sold for $8 a dozen or $4 for a half dozen. It’s best to call in your order early to 570-398-2913 and leave a message for how many you would like. Pickup is at the church using the Glover Street entrance. Extra donuts are made and available for walk-in sales beginning at 7 a.m.
— Howard United Methodist Church will have a soup sale and luncheon from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., at the church fellowship hall. Come for a sit down lunch that costs just $10 and comes with soup, salad, a roll, a piece of pie and your drink. Take-out quarts of soup are sold for $9 each. Pre-order your take-out quarts so that you’re sure to get the flavors you like. The soup flavors are vegetable beef, ham and bean, chicken noodle and chicken corn. — Milesburg Lions Bingo every Thursday night at the Milesburg Community Center. Doors open at 5 p.m. and Bingo starts at 6:45 p.m.
— LHHS and ICHS Classes of 1958 are having their monthly get together at 1 p.m. at Brown’s Hill Tavern. All classmates and friends are welcome. For info., call 570-660-0134.
— Clinton County Veterans Affair Military Share distribution has to be moved to the Piper Museum. If you are a recipient of the food from this program please call the Clinton County VA office at 570-893-4339 for more details. The food will no longer be distributed from the Castanea Fire Company Picnic Grounds going forward.
— Louise’s Loops Crochet Club at the Friendship Community Library in Beech Creek from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Bring your projects to work on while we engage in relaxing conversations and creative inspirations. The FCL is open from 3-7 p.m. The Library is a division of the Annie Halenbake Ross Library and has an updated collection of books for loan, a variety of programs and tech support. — Jacksonville Cemetery Association’s annual meeting, 1 p.m., in the Marion Township Building meeting room. All those interested in the wellbeing of the cemetery are encouraged to attend.

MONDAY
— Martin Luther King, Jr. Day federal holiday.
— Howard Area Lions Food Bank distribution, noon to 3 p.m., at the former Beech Creek Elementary. Bring a sturdy box with you for future food distributions.
— Each Monday in January from 4:30-6 p.m. there will be a drawing class with George Stefanski at the Friendship Community Library in Beech Creek. The class is free and for those 12 and older.
