Wednesday, Jan. 28

— Holy Moments in History lecture at 10 a.m. at Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church in Mill Hall. Retired history teacher Mike Palischak will be speaking on the Declaration of Independence and how the document and its signers shaped our country. The lecture is free and is in celebration of our 250th anniversary of America. Sweet treats and beverages will be provided. Parking is to the rear of the building and those attending should use the ramp to enter the church.

— Clinton County will officially launch its participation in the nationwide celebration of America’s 250th birthday with the America250PA-Clinton County Kick Off Celebration, to be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Clinton County Courthouse, 230 E. Water St., Lock Haven. This historic event marks the beginning of Clinton County’s involvement in the United States Semiquincentennial, commemorating 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. The public is invited to attend and take part in this once-in-a-generation milestone. Light refreshments will be provided.

— St. Paul Food Pantry, 6220 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall, (1 mile north of the I-80 interchange on Route 64), is open the second and fourth Wednesday of every month from 9-11 a.m. No documentation is required. — LHHS and ICHS Class of 1955 will meet for lunch at noon at Haywoods in Mill Hall. All classmates and their guests are invited to attend.

Thursday, Jan. 29

— Interfaith Human Services is having a Mexican Fundraising Dinner to raise funds that will help people in the Centre County area. There will be a ‘Build Your Own Burrito Dinner” at State College Friends Meeting, 611 E. Prospect Ave., State College, from 5-6:30 p.m. The dinner is FREE, but will rely on monetary donations that you provide. All donations will go directly to Interfaith Human Services. Friday, Jan. 30

— Old School Market, former Rote Elementary, at East End Mountain Road, Mill Hall, is open each Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

— KBR Bingo and More’s straight line Bingo each Friday night at 6:30 p.m. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Regular game payouts are $50! Come join the fun! KBR Bingo is located in the Piper Museum Building with elevator service to the 3rd floor Bingo hall. Call Deb at 570-660-2647 for info.

Saturday, Jan. 31

— Valentine’s Day at Titan Market, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Vendors, food, games, activities and more. Kids dance from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Titan Market is located in the old Cerro building, 2042 Axemann Road, Bellefonte. Call 814-404-7422 for info or visit Titan Market on Facebook.

— KBR Bingo will hold a benefit for LHU Softball and Lacrosse teams. Doors open at 11 a.m. and Bingo starts at 1 p.m. In addition to Bingo, there’s a basket raffle, rip tickets and good food! — Learn more at a Human Trafficking Awareness Community Event, featuring guest speaker Alicia Tappan, to be presented at 10 a.m. at the Mackeyville United Methodist Church, 23 Fairgrounds Road, Mackeyville. Public is invited to come and become more aware of this problem and how you can help to stop it.

— Wayne Township Recreation Committee will be holding an ice-skating party from 12 to 2 p.m. at the rink near the baseball field at 2 McKinney Road, Lock Haven. There will be ice-skating, pizza, cookies and hot chocolate. This event is sponsored by the Wayne Township supervisors, Weis Markets and the recreation committee. It will be a fun time for the family so please join members of the committee. Some skates are available.
