Dotterer Dairy Farm donates proceeds from Sunflower Maze to fire companies

PHOTO PROVIDED

The 2025 Sunflower Maze on the Dotterer Dairy Farm was a great success this past August. If you had a chance to visit the maze, you would have quickly realized that the design of the maze represented and symbolized our local fire departments. A percentage of the proceeds was recently donated to the Nittany Valley Volunteer Fire Company, of Porter Township, and the Lamar Township Volunteer Fire Company, of Salona. The volunteer fire men and women in these fire companies protect a region that safeguards an interstate highway, rural farmland, as well as state forest land, and our suburban communities. Dotterer Dairy wants to thank these people for giving their time and special talents to help others who need assistance. They also thanked everyone who visited the maze and made these donations possible. They look forward to welcoming you back in 2026. Pictured presenting the donations is Candace Dotterer White, middle. Accepting the donations are, from left, Ryan Gates of Nittany Valley Fire Co. and Pat and Christy Steinbacher, of Lamar Township Fire Co.

Starting at $3.69/week.
