PA Chestnut Festival recognize volunteers following successful year

The Castanea Township Recreation Committee and Supervisors recognized the PA Chestnut Festival volunteers following the event on Saturday, Jan. 24. Volunteers completed numerous tasks including vendor recruitment and placement, publicity, restroom cleaner, booth set-up and take-down, sign placement, vendor assistance, hanging string lights, trash removal and crowd monitor. Supervisors also acknowledged Citizens Hose Co., Flemington, for providing traffic control and Castanea Fire Co. for use of the grounds and building. The volunteers shared a moment with Bigfoot in front of the Castanea Picnic Grounds Building, Lock Haven.
