TODAY

— Prayer Shawl Ministry meeting, noon, at the Mill Hall United Presbyterian Church. Anyone who crochets or knits, or if you’d like to see some of the creations our needleworkers have made, come to the church. A light lunch if provided to those who attend. Yarn donations can also be brought to the church during the Prayer Shawl Ministry meeting. Use the ramp to the rear of the church for easy access and plenty of parking.

— Blood Drive, 12:30-6 p.m., at the Yearick Center/Howard Fire Hall.

TOMORROW

— Food distribution will be from 4-6 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 216 McAllister St., Bellefonte. There aren’t any income guidelines but a few questions are asked for those attending for the first time. For more info on these food distributions held the first Thursday of each month, call Leilani “Loni” at 814-548-7835.

— HELP (Hardship Emergency Loan Program) for Pets will hold their Annual Sponsor/Board Meeting at 7 p.m. upstairs in the Annie Halenbake Ross Library in Lock Haven. Anyone with an interest in joining or learning how they can help the group is welcome to attend.

HELP for Pets is a non-profit organization that provides interest-free loans to Clinton County pet owners who have exhausted all other financial means to allow for urgent treatment of their pets, thus alleviating unnecessary euthanasia.

FRIDAY

— Milesburg United Methodist Church’s food distribution, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

— Centre Hall Fire Company’s First Friday of the month Bingo. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Early Bird games begin at 6:30 p.m. and regular Bingo starts at 7 p.m. Bring three items or more for a Jared Box project and get your Early Bird packet free. Check Jared Box Project website for suggestions on new items to fill the shoe boxes for children who are hospitalized.

— Old School Market, former Rote Elementary, at East End Mountain Road, Mill Hall, is open each Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

— The Light of the World Clothing Bank will be open from 2:30 to 5 p.m. at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 145 W. Linn St., Bellefonte. Clothing ranging in sizes from infants to 3X, shoes, coats, bedding and more, everything is free of charge. For questions or additional information, call the church office at 814-355-9072. — KBR Bingo and More’s straight line Bingo each Friday night at 6:30 p.m. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Regular game payouts are $50! Come join the fun! KBR Bingo is located in the Piper Museum Building with elevator service to the 3rd floor Bingo hall. Call Deb at 570-660-2647 for info.

SATURDAY

— The Clinton County Community Assembly will be holding a soup/chili cook-off and bake sale from 11 a.m to 1 p.m., in Triangle Park. The assembly was created by area citizens in November during the federal government shutdown to provide assistance to food insecure individuals in the area. The group holds a pop-up pantry each Sunday from 12 to 2 p.m. The pantry is held in council chambers at Lock Haven City Hall, 20 E. Church St. However, the pop-up will be moved to Triangle Park for the cook-off and sale.

“We feed folks in need every Sunday. Now we need your help to restock our pantry.” Spots are limited. To participate in the cook-off, interested individuals must pay $10 in cash at the event. — Porter Township’s Farmer’s Breakfast, 7-10 a.m., at the Porter Township community building in Lamar. Breakfast meals are $13 for adults, $6 for children ages 6-12 and free for younger ones.

— Sweetheart Sip and Shop at Titan Market, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Vendors, food, games, activities and more. Sip, shop and fall in love with something new found only at Titan Market. — Wayne Township Rec Committee is sponsoring a Valentine’s Pet Photo fundraiser at the Nature Park from 2-4 p.m. The photographer is provided. The cost is a $5 donation for one photo posted to Facebook. Donations will be made to the Appalachian Pug Rescue and The Safe House!

— Wing Night at Citizen’s Hook & Ladder Company in Milesburg. From 5-7 p.m., get a dozen wings for $12 and add a side of fries for $4 to benefit the fire company. Bone-in or boneless wings offered in seven different flavors. Come early as they sell out fast!

— Susquehanna Valley Big Twins Motorcycle Club’s Mardi Gras Party, 7 p.m. $15 cover charge per person/$25 per couple includes food, drinks and entertainment from 8 p.m. to midnight. Public is invited. Proceeds will help the club to provide donations to help those in our community who are in need. SVBTMC is located at 84 Harley Drive, (in the Woolrich area) Lock Haven.

— KBR Bingo will hold an Adult Bingo for the Lock Haven Regatta Foundation. Doors open at 11 a.m. and Bingo starts at 1 p.m. In addition to Bingo, there’s a basket raffle, rip tickets and good food! Tickets are available at the door. KBR Bingo is on the third floor of the Piper Museum Building. Elevator service is available. For more info or tickets, call Deb at 570-660-2647.

— Helping Hands will be hosting a cornhole tournament at the Lock Haven Moose Lodge. Sign ups will be at 2:30 p.m. Entry fee can be covered by donating hygiene products, laundry care and cleaning supplies. There will be a raffle, 50/50 and the kitchen will be open.
