DUNNSTOWN — More than 100 community members gathered at the Dunnstown Fire Company on Wednesday, Feb. 18, as the Clinton County Democratic Committee launched its annual “Soup & Sign” petition event in preparation for the upcoming 2026 Primary Election.

This popular event combined civic engagement with community fellowship, offering attendees the opportunity to sign nomination petitions for local and state candidates while enjoying a warm meal. Guests chose from six homemade soups, an assortment of breads and a variety of desserts, available for both dine-in and takeout.

Three candidates were on hand to meet voters and discuss their campaigns.

Ray Bilger, candidate for the U.S. House in Pennsylvania’s 15th Congressional District, and Sara Eggler, candidate for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in the 76th District, introduced themselves to attendees and answered questions about their priorities and goals. Rich Fitzgerald, who is running for re-election for State Committeeman, was also there to reach out to Clinton County Democrats.

“It was refreshing to see so many people come out to sign petitions and chat with our new candidates! It was a good energy to start the election cycle,” Bre Brannan, chair of the Clinton County Democratic Committee noted.
