HELP for Pets holds annual sponsorship meeting; elects officers

LOCK HAVEN — HELP (Hardship Emergency Loan Program) for Pets held their annual sponsorship meeting on Feb. 5 at the Annie Halenbake Ross Library.

Election of Officers was held and Officers and Board Members were sworn in. 2026 Officers are: Pam Blesh, president; Rona Houser, vice president; Deborah Tarantella, secretary; Christina Livingston-Frank, treasurer; and Heather Corbin, assistant treasurer. Debra Mitchell, Jackie Parucha, Krish Pallai, JoAnn Williams, Sherri Cokefair, Alyce Baker and Kelly Fisher will serve as board members.

HELP for Pets is a non-profit organization that provides interest-free loans to Clinton County pet owners who have exhausted all other financial means to allow for urgent treatment of their pets, thus alleviating unnecessary euthanasia. They also offer the Chessie Spay/Neuter Fund that works much like the medical care program offering loans for timely spay/neuter of pets to HELP stop pet overpopulation in Clinton County.

To date the organization has HELPed 211 pets with loans in excess of $136,000. They reached that milestone with the help of its many sponsors and generous donors.
